Holden when he first stayed in NYC was in a hotel, where he met Maurice, a pimp working as the elevator operator. Maurice offered Holden a girl, and Sunny appears at Holden's door. Sunny only watns business with Holde, and she does not want to wrinkle her green dress. Sunny is taken aback when Holden wants to get to know her rather than use her. This dress takes the greens from Sunny's dress, and uses the loose clothing to symboize Sunny's walls, with the tight clothes being her objectification.
